LAST STARFIGHTER - On the BIG screen again!
Remember when computers were as big as rooms? Remember when it was a miracle that anything got rendered? Remember when a gig of storage seemed like overkill? Well, join us for a special 25th Anniversary (yep, it's been 25 years!) screening of "The Last Starfighter" on Friday, March 27th at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica.
We are trying to organize something of a Digital Productions reunion for the evening. We'll be screening the film on the big screen, remembering how hard it was to get anything rendered back then, and talking with Director Nick Castle, Writer Jonathon Betuel, Actress Catherine Mary Stuart (Maggie), and our own Jeff Okun. The Aero Theatre is located at 1328 Montana Blvd (corner of 14th and Montana) in Santa Monica. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the door or thru http://www.Fandango.com. I would suggest you get your tickets ahead of time, as word has been spreading about the screening. The screening starts at 7:30pm, but I would recommend getting there early to mingle. After the screening, we'll be doing a discussion panel. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area in case you need a little imbibing to help you remember (or forget.....).
